  • Overview

    Facilitate and coordinate the reconditioning of new deliveries and off lease vehicles.

    Responsibilities

    1. Perform and coordinate recondition of vehicles prior to delivery or disposal.
    2. Perform pre-delivery inspection on new car deliveries and create files listing any issues that may need to be investigated further concerning the condition of the vehicles.
    3. Perform vehicle inspections on new and off lease vehicles noting damage. Create damage assessment with pictures of body and interior damage on vehicles off lease, on lease, or in stock.
    4. Coordinate with local vendor’s requests for up fitting and accessories. Order parts or accessories, and affix the new parts to the requested vehicles.
    5. Assist in daily operations as related to new/used vehicle receiving, delivery procedures and inventory control.
    6. Create reports with pictures and customer requests on vehicles prior to disposal.
    7. Serve as primary liaison between customer and lease representatives as related to returns & delivery.
    8. Serve as back up inventory specialist in the areas of damage report. Create reports including pictures and estimates in PDF format; also process vehicle data as related to off lease vehicles noting location.
    9. Coordinate with Operations Manager for creating reports on body/interior repairs as needed for disposal.
    10. Maintain a safe working environment and perform light building maintenance e.g., plumbing issues, minor repairs.
    11. Engage in developmental activities e.g., attending workshops. Stay informed on industry news including new products, tools and procedures.
    12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • An undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience
    • A minimum of 3 years related experience in automotive reconditioning service industry

     

    Other Qualifications:

    • Strong working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on customer relations
    • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Shop Pro
    • Must be able to work in open environment under extreme temperatures
    • Schedule must be flexible with ability to travel
    • Must have a valid driver’s license
    • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50lbs
    • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100lbs
