  • Overview

    Manage very large and complex technology projects from conception through launch and post implementation activities using established project management tools and techniques. Partner with project sponsor, stakeholders, and project team to facilitate and lead decision-making.


    1. Lead or matrix-manage large and complex technology projects and/or enterprise projects. Develop and execute resource plans to manage projects.
    2. Calculate project costs and ROI. Assess long-term viability of initiatives and ongoing resource requirements.
    3. Actively participate in continuous improvement discussions regarding Project Management and industry best practices.
    4. Provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced colleagues in a collaborative, team-focused manner.
    5. Identify, assess and manage risks and issues to ensure the success of the project.
    6. Produce all project documentation including project charters, estimates, timelines, resource plans and status reports.
    7. Collaborate with business and technology partners to define project scope and objectives.
    8. Ensure project deliverables are demonstrably fit for purpose.
    9. Gain commitments to ensure corrective actions are taken if costs, timescales or resources deviate from agreed tolerances.
    10. Manage the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project stakeholders.
    11. Build and maintain a professional rapport with the internal and client project teams and maintain an excellent level of client satisfaction.
    12. Act as primary interface with the client regarding deliverables, change requests, and sign-off on status and requirements.
    13. Actively work to remove impediments that slow any aspect of the project team’s efforts.
    14. Identify, make transparent, and help to manage dependencies with other internal or external teams.
    15. Maintain relevant metrics that ensure the projects are completed smoothly and help lead to more efficient processes.
    16. Prepare project status reports for sponsors and executive management, as necessary.
    17. Team with external service delivery partners to integrate processes and implement improvements as needed, ensuring SLAs and other Bancorp business needs are met.
    18. Independently lead other related initiatives as assigned.



    • An undergraduate degree in business, economics or a related field
    • A minimum of 10 years working as a Project Manager.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma certification preferred.



    Other Qualifications:

    • Advanced knowledge of agile project management methodology.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution and customer management skills.
    • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
