  • Overview

    Manage the Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) relationship with the assigned business line.

    Responsibilities

    1. Act as the primarily liaison with the assigned client(s). Manage, maintain and grow the FCRM relationship with the business clients. Coordinate and communicate all FCRM related activities, issues and initiatives to the business line leaders.
    2. Liaise between the business team and FCRM to manage/track schedules and status of FCRM-related matters. Meet with business leaders on a regular basis to discuss opportunities and direct them towards process and procedure changes to meet their needs while ensuring FCRM compliant business operations.
    3. Develop close working relationships with an array of FCRM leaders, staff and other stakeholders to facilitate awareness and education on business line issues.
    4. Maintain open communication channels to manage critical BSA/AML issues. Serve as an escalation point and ensure end to end transparency during the issue resolution process with the appropriate business leaders. Identify and discuss anticipated resolution time and pending issues.
    5. Represent business line strategies and priorities to FCRM leadership while aligning and representing the FCRM vision with the business lines.
    6. Act as an advocate for both FCRM and the business line related to business needs and required BSA/AML results. Present situations accurately pushing back as needed.
    7. Provide strategic consultation to the Business Lines and participate in FCRM quality reviews and feedback sessions.
    8. Advise business lines on FCRM options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact of requirements on business processes and system priorities.
    9. Ensure FCRM solutions meet business needs and support the short-term and long-term business goals and strategy.
    10. Build and maintain strategic relationships and networks across the organization.
    11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • An undergraduate degree in a related field. A master’s degree preferred. 
    • A minimum of 10 years related BSA/AML and KYC experience in progressively more complex roles
    • A minimum of 10 years bank experience with exposure to one or more of the following areas: Payments, Leasing, Institutional Banking, Real Estate Capital Markets, etc.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with business lines on regulatory matters
    • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred

     Other Qualifications:

    • Extensive working knowledge of AML, BSA, KYC
    • Ability to present and influence at all levels of the organization
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Excellent follow up skills with great attention to detail
    • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
    • Up to 40% travel required
