Due to expanding client base, we are increasing our staff and adding two additional Senior Underwriting and Portfolio Analyst Positions in our Sioux Falls Office.  We are looking for candidates that thrive in a fast-paced environment while focused on evaluating business financials and the operational risks associated with business entities engaged in Merchant Acquiring, ACH and Card Issuing Activities sponsored by the bank.  This roll will support new client applicants as well as performing updated analysis associated with the periodic review process.


Essential Functions

  1. Analyzes the financial condition of major direct and third-party Fintech Solutions partners and sponsored entities.
  2. Performs financial analysis and underwriting for covered business types and enterprise client relationships.
  3. Evaluates client processing models and characteristics to calculate notional risk associated with diverse product types.
  4. Compiles detailed written narratives quantifying financial and operational risk review results with accompanying recommendation to the Director of Credit and Risk and/or applicable approval committee.
  5. Track the performance and risk characteristics of major relationships on a monthly basis and prepare reports summarizing findings highlighting any changes or concerns.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.


Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Five years’ financial statement analysis, commercial underwriting and portfolio review experience.
  • Ability to read, understand and perform reviews of corporate financial statements, corporate tax returns and business credit reports.
