Overview

The Bancorp is seeking a highly motivated individual to grow and thrive with our innovative company in this unique position. The primary function of this role includes supporting internal communication development and distribution across the enterprise, and research, development, and execution of corporate events/sponsorship opportunities specific to the Sioux Falls office location. As a member of the marketing team, this role will bring sponsorship/partnership campaigns to the forefront to elevate The Bancorp brand! Responsibilities also include day to day management of multiple external partners, working closely with internal partners, overseeing brand integration during events, sponsorships, etc., The successful candidate will work with leaders across the company to develop and execute internal communications and programs to support the organization’s short-term and long-term goals. This role will be responsible for supporting brand awareness and providing consistent messaging to our partners, customers, external stakeholder and employees.

Responsibilities

  1. Writes, proofs, edits, and distributes all internal communications to ensure clarity and consistency with brand standards.
  2. Excellent content planning and development abilities to support various internal communications and external brand promotions.
  3. Solid understanding of the events and entertainment landscape, industry trends and key players.
  4. A strong network of Sioux Falls businesses and networks.
  5. Represent the company at a variety of events including promotional, recruiting, product launches, trade shows, etc.
  6. Gain a deep understanding of the company’s mission, vision, values and goals, and educate a broad audience to enhance brand recognition.
  7. Identifies opportunities to publicize the company and products/services.
  8. Coordinate digital promotions for company products and services during conferences, special events, etc. to drive traffic to designated area.
  9. Exceptional project management, scheduling, and coordinating skills to promote brand awareness and gain recognition.
  10. Strategic problem solver with the ability to think big picture and dive into the details, and deliver on internal/external campaigns
  11. Strong interpersonal skills, especially in establishing, building and maintaining contact/relationships with internal and external parties
  12. Strong collaboration skill with the ability to work in cross-functional groups as well as independently.
  13. Ability to work well with all levels of staff and management
  14. Manage relationships with external vendors
  15. Aptitude for influencing others and getting people on board with an idea or direction
  16. An ability to anticipate the needs of the team and offer solutions.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Communications and Event Planning corporate environment.
  • Experience in financial services, payments or fintech sector, in a publicly held company is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written skill with the ability to write powerfully and concisely
  • Proven ability in planning and executing strategic projects
  • Advance time-management skills with the ability to work effectively and independently on simultaneous projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing communications strategies and tactics
  • Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, creative thinking and problem-solving
  • Passion for maintaining a positive corporate culture and building community within a diverse workforce
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
