Software Developer II

Job Location US-SD-Sioux Falls
Regular Full-Time


Actively participate in the software development lifecycle to design, build, implement, document, and maintain enterprise applications.


Essential Functions   

  1. Designs, builds, implements, documents and supports enterprise application software primarily using Microsoft technologies.
  2. Works with our project management and business analytics groups to understand and refine business requirements.
  3. Handles moderately complex projects with minimal guidance.
  4. Maintains and enhances existing systems to meet business needs.
  5. Debugs, unit tests, supports, and documents processes and procedures.
  6. Participates as Tier 2 production support to resolve issues reported to the IT Service Desk.
  7. Utilizes monitoring and error reporting services to minimize downtime events.
  8. Shares ownership for development processes and participate in a periodic on-call rotation.
  9. Delivers solutions which meet or exceed criteria required by federal regulation, including PCI standards.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


Education/Experience Requirements

  • Associate or higher degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Four years application development experience.

Preferred Requirements  

  • Ability to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies.
  • A background in Microsoft .NET, C#, and Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL.
  • Mid-level experience in some of the following; ASP.NET/MVC/Web API, Angular V2 or later, typescript, javascript/javascript frameworks, HTML, XML, JSON, XSLT, GIT, NuGet, Subversion, ProGet, BitBucket, Team City.
