The Bancorp is an organization that has experienced impressive growth as the #1 issuer of prepaid cards and the 7th largest issuer of debit cards in the U.S. Due to our expanding client base, we are looking for a career minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to fill our VP of Credit Underwriting and Portfolio Management Position.

 

This opportunity will support the FinTech Solutions Group which offers an expanding suite of products such as ACH, Merchant Acquiring and Card Issuance. This individual will focus on performing advanced level financial analysis and risk management functions in support of our expanding portfolio of new and existing enterprise business clients.

  

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Performs advanced level financial analysis and underwriting for covered business types and enterprise client relationships.
  2. Compiles advanced level written narratives quantifying financial and operational risk review results with accompanying recommendation to the Director of Credit & Risk and/or applicable approval committee.
  3. Works closely with new and existing clients to underwrite and manage risk activities supporting diverse client types and business models.
  4. Decisions high risk and certain types of applicants within pre-established guidelines and thresholds.
  5. Work directly with the bank’s business client base to conduct interviews and investigations necessary to perform financial analysis and portfolio management activities.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Eight years’ financial statement analysis, commercial underwriting and commercial portfolio management experience.
  • Ability to read, understand and perform advance level reviews of corporate financial statements, corporate tax returns and business/personal credit reports.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to compile advance level narratives to quantify financial statement analysis and risk attributes.
