Overview

Research, review and process insurance-related activities within Loan Operations for SBA, Consumer and Discontinued Commercial Loans.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Tracks and monitors required insurances. Ensures coverages are correct according to the terms of the loan, including contacting the borrower and/or insurance companies by phone or email for updated certificates.
  2. Opening and reviewing incoming mail for insurances. Updating system tickler dates as new or renewed items are due and received.
  3. Contacts customers when lapsed policy notices are received via mail, email or fax. Follow-ups with borrowers until new policy is received.
  4. Handles processing of Life insurance exchanges or releases and following up on new policies as indicated in the Servicing or Change memo approval for SBA loans.
  5. Processes UCC Continuations according to policies and procedures.
  6. Develops and maintains close working relationships with all internal departments, e.g. Reconcilement, A/P, etc.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years commercial loan operations and administration experience.

Preferred Requirements  

  • PCFS Loan Manager experience helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of loan administration and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.
