Overview

This position will provide overall support for the non-daily production activities in Retail Operations.  This includes management of FIS Bank Control and other ancillary user-supported systems, partnering with various lines of business to determine requirements for new support requests and producing process documentation and required reporting.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Manages FIS Bank Control maintenance; assesses the impact of requested changes and implements the same. Regularly reviews and updates various tables to insure current information is reflected.  Maintains supporting documentation that details various attributes and their uses.
  2. Represents Retail Operations on projects of all sizes and with all lines of business; engages appropriate Retail Operations staff and leadership to incorporate any support requirements. This can include loans, deposits and payment processing functions.
  3. Utilizes Business Objects reporting to identify nuances in loan, deposit and Bank Control environments, researches problems and supports annual and periodic portfolio and transaction reporting. Develops strong understanding of the key data elements to produce accurate reporting.
  4. Supports requirement gathering and testing and creates process documentation for new processes in Retail Ops, including RPA and offshore initiatives.
  5. Assists department manager with identifying and evaluating operational requirements and develops functional and desktop procedures to support new implementations and enhancements.
  6. Develops an understanding of the core banking system functionality to support all of Retail Operations.
  7. Supports SOX, internal and external audit processes and reporting requests.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 10 years of related experience in loan, deposit and/or payments back-office operations and collaborative projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the FIS IBS core banking system is preferred
  • Exposure to managing core banking platform user-controlled features is preferred
  • Report writing with Business Object tools is a plus
  • Must be able to produce clear and specific procedures documents
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office suite products, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Adept at managing multiple and shifting priorities
