AVP Senior Enterprise Risk Analyst

Responsible for oversight and coordination of operational risk programs including issues management, metric reporting, new product approval and process risk assessment. Role is part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team within the Chief Risk Office (CRO).

Essential Functions

1. Produces management reporting on the enterprise issues inventory to highlight business risk exposure, past due items and trends in deficiency root cause. Coordinates daily with business partners on issue progress and status update commentary.
2. Provides input into the development and evolution of the existing Risk Dashboard Reporting framework to enrich the metrics, commentary and MIS reporting. Develops a risk playbook and works with the management team and businesses to implement a continuous feedback loop.
3. Executes key requirements to support the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process which rates and highlights the key risks and controls within each business unit. Identify improvement levers and opportunities to enhance risk & controls.
4. Leads the development and writing of enterprise level functional procedures related to program areas of coverage to ensure consistency with bank wide efforts.
5. Enhances tool capabilities associated with risk management programs to ensure appropriate workflow controls, refine data quality/completeness and improve end user experience.
6. Develops Governance documents and status updates on risk projects and initiatives including trackers, risk calendars and other documents upon request. Participates in Project Management efforts.
7. Communicates within and outside the department to answer risk questions, enhance understanding of risk findings and make suggestions on improvements.
8. Assists in review or creation of functional process flow (Visio) diagrams across business and corporate processes.
9. Drives culture of safety and soundness across The Bancorp.
10. Supports the broader Risk organization in evolving the risk framework across all business units, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Risk Management framework (ERM).
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Five years risk related field experience, including a focus on Operational Risk Management.

Preferred Requirements

• Graduate degree (Masters) in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Extensive working knowledge of the financial services industry, products, and services.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ERM and Operational risk programs.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
• A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook .
