The Relationship Managers for our Fintech Solutions Group are responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients. The Relationship Manager acts as the primary point of contact between The Bancorp and its clients as well as the internal departments within the bank. As that primary point of contact they are an integral part of a team-based approach to providing day to day client support.  The Relationship Manager position is also responsible for monitoring key performance indicators for programs under their management and works collaboratively with clients to help identify growth opportunities.  


Essential Functions

  1. The Relationship Manager acts as the primary liaison between The Bancorp and its clients. They advocate on behalf of their clients within the Bank and ensures Clients are kept abreast of Bank requirements.
  2. Manages relationships with a focus on building client loyalty through the delivery of best in class service.
  3. Works with the clients to obtain required reporting and information needed to monitor performance.
  4. Handles the client’s day to day questions and needs.
  5. Fosters close working relationships with various internal control functions.
  6. Works closely with clients, service providers, and internal departments to resolve any identified issues.
  7. Schedule, facilitate, and document regular meetings between Bancorp and its clients.
  8. Develops close working relationships with various internal business lines to provide ongoing client support.
  9. Keeps clients informed of any payment network (i.e. Visa/MasterCard/NACHA), regulatory, or bank policy changes.
  10. Stays current on payment industry trends and emerging products.
  11. Assists in the approval process of new marketing materials, including ensuring the review process is moving in a timely manner and internal stakeholders have the information needed to make appropriate decisions
  12. Assists in the preparation and presentation of new client initiatives to relevant approval committees. Working with the Bank’s internal control functions, the Relationship Manager coordinates quarterly relationship reviews and annual due diligence assessments.
  13. Works with clients to provide timely and accurate responses to all consumer complaints.
  14. Develop a strong understanding of the rules and regulations that govern the programs under their management.
  15. Facilitates the completion of various projects as assigned by management.
  16. Ensures proper escalation to management of any issue that represents or potentially represents a material risk to the bank or its partners.  


Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in financial services or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Three years corporate relationship management, product development, vendor and/or project management experience.


 Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior banking or financial services experience.
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations.
  • Prior experience managing and/or presenting in large corporate meetings.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
  • Proactive and highly self-motivated.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to take the lead.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Detail oriented with strong project and time management skills.
  • Ability to research and seek out information.
