Commercial Lease Credit Analyst II

Perform complex credit analysis and financial reviews of new and existing lease customers for credit requests.


Essential Functions

  1. Analyzes financial statements to assess the level and quality of credit risk, viability of repayment and prepares credit approval memorandums for credit management in accordance with the company’s loan and risk management policies.
  2. Contacts sales person for additional information pertinent to the underwriting activities. Works with customers and leasing team to collect required credit information for underwriting lease requests.
  3. Verifies existing lessee’s total and current exposure in the leasing systems and databases, e.g. LeaseWave and Spark, as well as hard file information and ensure that it is within departmental risk levels.
  4. Generates a financial analysis including customer’s background, summary of current and prior year fiscal results and cash flow analysis lease requests on more complex credits.
  5. Determines action (approval or decline) including all relevant data and analysis required by the organization’s credit standards and policies. Improves the quality and thoroughness of the credit presentations to ensure efficient and appropriate loan decisions.
  6. Maintains accurate and complete loan files. Validates that all required authorization, compliance and approvals are obtained prior to closing underwriting documentation and files. Creates and maintains approvals and files.
  7. Develops close working partnerships with the sales team, leasing operations and other internal company staff to ensure open communication channels are available to handle issues associated with the credit analysis and review of clients. Quickly respond to calls and requests for information from the team.
  8. Recommends process, procedural, and or operational changes to improve the efficiency of the credit review process.
  9. Serves as the primary backup for the manager approving daily rental funding requests. In addition, monitor, track, and update title information related to daily rental customers and leasing customers.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Three Years Commercial credit analyst experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • Auto industry experience is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of traditional financial analysis.
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills to meet loan committee deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong presentation skills.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
