VP FCRM KYC Manager (Hybrid)

Work Arrangement: 

***This is a hybrid role, working 3 days onsite in our offices.***

Oversee and provides day-to-day operations support to the KYC teams onshore and offshore, which are responsible for reviewing customers identified as being high risk for financial crimes.

1. Identifies areas for improvement, develops KYC specific process and technology solutions and leads execution.
2. Oversees the use of software tools and technologies for conducting various KYC related searches and reviews. Tools include Actimize, Lexis Nexis, Bridger, and various processor and transaction platforms.
3. Guides analysts to make retention recommendations and referrals based on analysis of high-risk counterparties and reputational risks, including politically exposed persons (“PEP”), money service businesses (MSBs) and various other inherently high-risk parties.
4. Escalates issues discovered during ongoing review and assessment of KYC risk that require escalation to Senior Management for direction on resolution.
5. Manages KYC related metrics reporting related to volume and analysts’ performance.
6. Oversees Know Your Customer (KYC) on-boarding operations to ensure compliance with CIP requirements. Ensures on-boarding and CIP data and document processing comply with regulatory guidelines, standards and internal policies for new accounts.
7. Updates and maintains KYC related policies and procedures to remain compliant.
8. Develops close working partnerships with business lines, Compliance, Risk, and Legal.
9. Manage teams of onshore and offshore analysts. Develops and executes a workforce plan to meet business goals. Interviews, hires, sets high performance standards and manage team performance in accordance with all applicable HR policies and procedures. Creates an energized work environment, fostering an atmosphere that enables employee trust and engagement.  Inspires confidence and motivates others to perform at their best.  Develops and coaches staff while effectively addressing performance issues.
10. Provides advice, guidance, and training on technical AML/KYC issues and decisions.
11. Reviews dispositions and ensures alerts are fully documented, including providing supporting data, analysis and rationale.
12. Keeps abreast of AML/OFAC updates and requirements.
13. Works across FCRM departments as needed including one or more of the following areas: Sanctions, Investigations, or Surveillance and Monitoring.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance or a related field.
• Five years AML (Anti-Money Laundering) group experience at a large financial institution, including three years progressive management experience with demonstrated ability to lead a team of AML professionals and KYC experience.

Preferred Requirements

• CAMS, CFE, CBAP, CRCM or other certifications.
• Strong working knowledge of KYC related regulations and guidance.
• Strong working knowledge of Actimize and LexisNexis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with the skills to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to critically review documentation for new accounts.
• Ability to identify solutions for recurring issued identified.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across regions and business units.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines.
• Excellent investigative and analytical skills with the ability to uncover root causes, identify patterns, and analyze key risk trends.
• A self-motivated team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
