Overview

The ideal candidate is a self-starter that can successfully lead projects and assess the business processes within the Bank’s operations organization.  This position will identify and resolve gaps using a hands-on approach. The role is both strategic and tactical. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Manages, prioritizes and implements projects involving the various systems utilized within operations. Focus is on building a technical understanding of the processes and procedures, interfaces and integration points with other systems and departments to ensure efficient operations.
  2. Leads activities related to data tracking, reporting and monitoring across various systems and reporting tools to ensure data accuracy. Follows up with appropriate stakeholders to review and resolve data integrity issues.  Investigates system anomalies that may be causing data discrepancies.
  3. Coordinates and manages timely and accurate data analytics and reporting to provide the leadership team with monthly operational metrics.
  4. Analyzes business processes and identifies automation opportunities. Develops a framework for identifying and tracking efficiencies/productivity within the operations group.
  5. Documents standard business processes conduct training on system use and processes and support resources in understanding processes. Resolves issues or questions.
  6. Acts as a liaison with various operations teams as it relates to systems and processes.
  7. Represents Retail Operations in various forums and meetings.
  8. Works with Operations leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals.
  9. Responds to inquiries on behalf of the Retail Operations functions.
  10. Plans, coordinates, and leads meetings and workshops.
  11. Oversees strategic initiatives from ideation to implementation.
  12. Develops strong relationships with operating and business partners across the organization and collaborate to drive improvements and solve complex problems, facilitating process review and feedback sessions with stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
  13. Seeks continual improvement of processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
  14. Enhances and manages process of developing key operational metrics. 
  15. Assists with preparation of materials for the leadership team.
  16. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business or finance or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 10 years banking operations field experience.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Background in process improvement, operational reporting and metric development.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or other project management certification a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting and reconcilement.
  • Strong working knowledge of NACHA (National Automated Clearinghouse Association) Rules and Regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge of balancing, banking and electronic payment processing. 
  • A self-starter and strategic thinker who exhibits flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
  • Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a high level of customer focus and motivation.
  • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Above average knowledge of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) methodologies and software.
  • Reporting software experience, such as Business Object and Power BI.
