Loan Product Specialist

Review loan documentation and process all new SBLOC and IBLOC loans through manual or automated booking actions.  Perform quality reviews and provide support to offshore resources.    


Essential Functions

  1. Receives new SBLOC and IBLOC loan files from Underwriters. Reviews documents and approval requirements to determine documentation requirements have been met and documented loan terms agree with approval terms.  Follows up with the Underwriter to resolve discrepancies before booking.
  2. Inputs loan into FIS loan system accurately recording all attributes of the loan, the borrowers and guarantors. Monitors automated booking processes.
  3. Completes other ancillary services associated with each loan, including but not limited to, checkbook ordering, SBLOC Admin Tool updates, eManager and TCM access.
  4. Processes SBLOC and IBLOC modifications, including loan increase requests and collateral changes.
  5. Provides support to offshore resources for loan booking including training, distribution of work, monitoring of activity and answering process questions.
  6. Prepares collateral documents, e.g. UCC statements, for recording/perfection of interest.
  7. Primary backup for conducting data quality reviews for loans booked by others or through automation.
  8. Updates department desk procedures and creates procedures for new tasks.
  9. Assists with scanning of loan files, daily documents, and correspondence, as requested.
  10. Provides responses to Underwriters, Collateral Analysts or loan officers to assist with inquiries on new loan activity.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.



Education/Experience Requirements

  • Associates degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Three years loan booking or administration experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of loan and collateral documents.
  • Knowledge of FIS loan system.
  • Knowledge of lending regulations for consumer and commercial accounts.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook.
