Overview

Exceptional opportunity with advancement potential for highly motivated candidate in this new position resulting from growth and expansion. You will further develop your current skills with the Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and senior staff to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Significantly interact with CAO and CFO to develop your knowledge base and professional skills.
  • Act as a control over the Company’s periodic filings with the SEC, i.e., Forms 10-Q/K and 8-K.
  • Manage the planning and execution of annual and interim financial statements preparation, in accordance with GAAP standards. Ensures timely preparation and compliance with applicable authoritative guidance.
  • Maintain high level knowledge of GAAP, including new accounting standards, SEC rules and regulations.
  • Assist in managing accounting and finance control manuals in finance and throughout the enterprise covering financial reporting.
  • Monitor and ensures timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, provide US GAAP interpretation, and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical, and comprehensive manner.
  • Assist in forecasting and other financial analysis and shares insights for strategic planning
  • Build and relationships with key business stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Skills Needed for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting preferably in a financial institution, public accounting experience is a big plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with financial statement structures and US GAAP including ability to review, assess and interpret accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements.
  • Strong technical skills and experience working with large amounts of data (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Accounting/Control experience – a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, CIMA) is a plus
