Overview

The Billing Team Leader position functions as a dedicated resource specifically to Payment Systems Group Billing staff members to ensure billing differences, outstanding processing issues, system failures and suspense activates are resolved efficiently and successfully in the best interests of The Bancorp Bank.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Acts as the additional contact/liaison for research issues which relate directly to the billing responsibilities.
  2. Handles, resolves and takes ownership of research issues. Ensures root causes or problems are identified and proper corrective measures are taken. Assists in providing daily support to research and resolve escalated financial matters.
  3. Approves a select group of revenue share statements and entries for the Billing Analyst.
  4. Develops and recommends changes, based on in-depth analysis, for procedural improvements. Assists in new billing process set up for reporting and other departmental needs.
  5. Works with the Vice President Reconcilement and Billing to develop internal training materials, updating procedures. Assists Billing team members in strengthening research skills.
  6. Supports VP PSG Reconcilement and Billing on the month end analysis, new client startup process, business development and contract questions, audit, Accounts Receivable management to include AR Payments, attend Aging report meeting and AR Rollforward report, etc.
  7. Assists in finding efficiencies within current processes to help the department save time to focus on pressing matters.
  8. Plays a supporting role in corrective actions in concert with Vice President Reconcilement and Billing.
  9. Acts as a resource for other departments in research matters and resolves issues requiring special assistance (operations, implementation, etc.).
  10. Provides supervisor/manager updates on current issues and improvement opportunities.
  11. Complete account billings as assigned.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Four years Payment Solutions experience, with focus on billing.

Preferred Requirements

  • Good mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications, e.g. MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze processes.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
