Overview

The Vice President, Product Development is responsible for the implementation of new products on behalf of the Fintech Solutions organization. This role will oversee an idea from initial concept to full product launch. This individual will work with stakeholders inside and outside the organization to effectively assess the risks, operational requirements, testing and rollout strategy suitable for introducing the new financial product in an efficient, safe and sound manner. The ideal candidate is someone who is capable of analyzing an idea, communicating effectively to affected parties, and managing deliverables through to a successful launch of the product.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Assess and refine initial concepts focused on the delivery of new financial products to market.
  2. Develop and deliver executive level presentations on new financial product concepts.
  3. Partner with internal stakeholders to continually refine, analyze and identify deliverables required to effectively launch new products.
  4. Organize project teams and ensure effective collaboration through the new product lifecycle.
  5. Brainstorm creative solutions to address any identified gaps/deliverables necessary for product launch.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate issues and risks identified through the process.
  7. Manage expectations both internally and with partners through the lifecycle of a product launch.
  8. Effectively collect, document, and organize product analysis, diagrams, risk assessments, funding flows, project plans and schedules as required by the effort.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • An Undergraduate degree in Business or related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in financial services products.
  • 5-7 years of work in project/product management.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in the field of payments or credit industry is a plus.
  • Self-Starter who can work independently in a self-managed team environment
  • Proficient in identifying project requirements, developing project plans and managing project risks
  • Solid understanding of a product development cycle and required steps in the process
  • Excellent communication skills adept at delivering information to audiences of all levels
  • Working knowledge of a bank’s risk management framework including the role and activity of critical stakeholders involved in the process
