VP Data Governance Manager

Responsible for defining and implementing the Enterprise Data Governance Program. Serves as a point of escalation for governance and data quality issues. Builds and maintains collaborative partnership and alignment with business stakeholders, Information Security and Information Technology to improve the quality and value of core data assets. Partners closely with organization’s Information Security and Information Technology leadership responsible for data storage, infrastructure, and security.


Essential Functions

  1. Defines, implements, and maintains an enterprise-wide data governance roadmap and framework.
  2. Communicates the vision, strategy, processes, and value of the program to the enterprise.
  3. Supports both the everyday needs of data processing, inquiry and reporting, and provides expertise and consult on all major data-related initiatives.
  4. Collaborates with senior management, support functions, Cyber Security and Enterprise Data Management teams to resolve data inventory, accuracy and integrity issues.
  5. Research vendors/applications and prepares assessments and recommendations regarding applicability to enterprise data governance and data quality operations.
  6. Develops and maintains status reports covering data governance and activities.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.



Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data governance, including at least three years in a management or leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of data governance and data quality practices, business and technology related to data governance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining data governance programs.
  • Knowledge of industry leading data governance and data quality practices
  • Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.
  • Experience with Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements for data.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills required and ability to analyze and make effective, business-centric recommendations to business leaders and senior management.

Background & EEO Statement

Salary Range:  $118,394 - $180,403
