The VP, Strategic Relationship Management for the Fintech Solutions division will manage and continually improve upon assigned strategic partnerships, identify, and pursue new partnerships that deliver value to and are aligned with business line strategy. The VP, Strategic Relationship Management will be a key member of the Partner Strategy team which is responsible for all Business Development-related activities within the Fintech Solutions division. This role will include frequent communication and interaction with business-line senior and executive management and senior management-level personnel across the Bancorp organization.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Assists FTS leadership team in representing the bank, and acts as a liaison in relationships with industry organizations, strategic channel partners and other key outside parties and banking officials. Negotiates business alliances and strategic partnerships.
  2. Develops growth strategies to grow new and existing strategic channel partner relationships, including new industry trade groups, networks, processing organizations and vendors.
  3. Research potential new product partners and vendors to fulfill identified business needs.
  4. Represents the company’s goals and objectives in strategic relationship discussions. Acts as a voice for the value add that Bancorp brings to each relationship.
  5. Presents new product enhancement opportunities to departmental leadership, as well as internal service and operational teams, explaining the potential of these initiatives to strengthen the Bank’s product and brand.
  6. Develops close working relationships with team members, vendors, and external and internal partners throughout the organization, including but not limited to customer service, sales, business development and internal corporate teams, i.e., marketing and communications, finance, information security, business continuity, legal, and compliance areas.  Leads routine and ad hoc meetings to discuss and manage projects and/or process requirements for new, improved or changing product enhancement offerings.
  7. Assists departmental leadership in the development of the annual business plan with responsibility for ensuring cost effective and accurate delivery of payment services and credit solutions, profitability, customer growth, and revenue streams from the business while managing operations within industry rules and regulations. Assists in the design of business development strategies to identify opportunities, partnerships, consolidations and enhancement options.
  8. Works closely with partners, and internal teams to resolve problems and issues as they arise. Ensures resources are brought into situations to develop solutions for both the partner and The Bancorp.
  9. Develops reports, recommendations, and presentations for bank leadership.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Ten years sales or relationship management experience, with demonstrated success in key account management

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of the financial services and fintech industries.
  • Demonstrated success in balancing and managing the interests of external partners, internal operations and servicing teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Position is required to travel less than 15 percent of the time.

Background & EEO Statement

Salary Range:  $118,394 - $180,403
