Overview

Responsible for managing a team of BI professionals and helping define the future of BI analytics and reporting for the company.  Serves as a point of escalation for reporting requests and issues.  Builds and maintains a collaborative partnership with business stakeholders and Information Technology to improve the quality and value of our BI reporting platform. Create meaningful visualizations and dashboards to support all business lines of the company and consult with senior leadership on business intelligence direction and priorities.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Defines, implements, and maintains an enterprise-wide Business Intelligence reporting framework.
  2. Communicates the vision, strategy and value of the program to the enterprise.
  3. Supports both the everyday needs of the BI team and provides expertise and consult on all major reporting-related initiatives.
  4. Provides data insights for the business and function, recommends areas for improved data consolidation, and automates and combines reports to streamline the client data and reporting processes.
  5. Creates and implements standards, policies, and procedures for the business intelligence team to ensure a common look and feel across reports, dashboards, universes, etc. Documents reporting platform administration procedures and ensures they are updated and maintained for reference and backup support for the function.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence and/or MIS, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of BI practices and information delivery.
  • Expert knowledge of industry leading reporting and visualization tools and emerging trends.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Experience with Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements for data.
  • Experience with SAP Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI, Sigma
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills required and ability to analyze and make effective, business-centric recommendations to business leaders and senior management.
