Overview

Perform regulatory testing to ensure products and processes for applicable clients are following applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Completes regulatory testing in accordance with the bank’s approved compliance management system (CMS).
  2. Performs periodic reviews in accordance with the prescribed schedule assigned by management.
  3. Reports testing results; tracks, logs, and records all testing results, management responses, and Monitoring and Oversight responses, if applicable. Works with the business line to address issues identified, root causes, and appropriate corrective action measures to mitigate risk.
  4. Provides detailed summaries of findings identified to the Remediation Project Team, actively engages in Client calls to review, and discusses testing results, root causes, and corrective actions.
  5. Produces final reports on testing results which are distributed to FTS Division, Leadership, and Regulatory Agencies, upon request.
  6. Develops close working relationships with internal and external business partners by promptly responding to questions, concerns, and remedial items.
  7. Plans, organizes, and prioritizes assigned reviews to ensure deliverables meet departmental standards.
  8. Keeps abreast of regulatory changes, supervisory and industry trends. Determines impact, if any, on company operations, processes, and procedures and recommend changes to management.
  9. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of bank regulatory compliance or audit experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer banking laws, regulations, general principles of UDAAP and BSA/AML onboarding of new consumers.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Team player, able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Operational knowledge of regulatory citations within assigned reviews.
